Governor Kelly Appoints Dr. Tobi Jeurnink to Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
The Kansas Chiropractic Association is pleased to congratulate Dr. Tobi Jeurnink on her appointment by Governor Laura Kelly to serve on the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. Dr. Jeurnink’s appointment became effective June 1, 2026, and she is expected to participate in her first Board meeting in August.
The State Board of Healing Arts plays a critical role in protecting the public by licensing and regulating healthcare professionals across Kansas. Service on the Board requires a significant commitment of time, expertise, and dedication to the people of our state.
KCA greatly appreciates chiropractors who are willing to step forward and serve in leadership roles that extend beyond their individual practices. Public service positions such as this help ensure that chiropractic perspectives are represented in important regulatory discussions while supporting the Board’s mission of protecting the health, safety, and welfare of Kansans.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Gould as he concludes twelve years of distinguished service on the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. During his tenure, Dr. Gould provided thoughtful leadership, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to both the profession and the citizens of Kansas. His experience and institutional knowledge will be greatly missed, and the chiropractic profession has benefited tremendously from his willingness to serve.
With Dr. Gould completing his final term on the Board, Governor Kelly was tasked with selecting a new chiropractic representative. KCA is pleased with the appointment of Dr. Jeurnink and believes she will serve the people of Kansas with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. We look forward to her contributions as she begins this important public service role.
Please join the Kansas Chiropractic Association in thanking Dr. Gould for his twelve years of service and congratulating Dr. Jeurnink on her appointment to the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.

The Kansas Chiropractic Association is developing KCA Connect, an official mobile app built exclusively for Kansas chiropractors. It is one of the most tangible ways we can deliver on our mission — empowering chiropractors with community, advocacy, resources, and education — and put the full weight of your association directly in your pocket.
KCA Connect brings together everything the association does in one place. Members will be able to read the latest KCA news and announcements, browse upcoming conventions and events, track legislative activity, and respond to action alerts from the Statehouse, access the KCA Board of Directors with one-tap calling, explore our On-Demand CE catalog, and stay connected to KCA’s strategic direction — all from their phone. Content updates automatically from our website, so the information you see is always up to date.
We are in the final stages of testing before public release. The app is in the hands of a small group of KCA leaders. Before we can submit to the Google Play Store, however, Google requires that we complete a formal beta testing phase on the Android platform with a minimum number of participants. We are looking for KCA members with Android phones who would be willing to download the app, spend some time with it, and share their honest feedback.
If you have an Android phone and are interested in participating, please email travis@kansaschiro.com. When we are ready for the public beta, we will send you a link to download the app along with a short feedback survey.
Here is where things stand on the timeline: we are targeting public beta availability in the first week of July, with a full launch on both Android and Apple platforms in August.
This app belongs to the profession in Kansas. We want it to reflect that — and your input is how we get there.

New KCA Member Resource: Practice Cost Calculator
The Kansas Chiropractic Association has launched a new online resource designed specifically for chiropractors who want a clearer understanding of the real cost of delivering care and operating a practice.
The new KCA Practice Cost Calculator allows members to estimate:
- Monthly practice overhead
- Cost per patient visit
- Break-even visit volume
- Provider compensation impact
- X-ray cost per view
- Associate doctor hiring costs and ramp-up timelines
The calculator was built to help doctors make more informed business decisions using real-world chiropractic practice variables. Whether you are evaluating fee schedules, planning for growth, considering adding an associate, or simply trying to better understand your practice finances, this tool provides a practical way to visualize those numbers.
The associate hiring section also includes estimates for:
- Payroll taxes
- Benefits and malpractice costs
- Recruitment and onboarding expenses
- Additional operational overhead
- Revenue and productivity projections
- Estimated cumulative break-even timelines
Importantly, the calculator is designed with privacy in mind. Data entered into the tool is used only for the calculations on your device and is not stored or shared.
This resource is now available as a KCA member benefit and reflects our continued commitment to empowering chiropractors with practical resources that support successful, sustainable practices.
