KCA Awards
KCA recognizes doctors in the field of chiropractic who have contributed to the profession in outstanding ways.
KCA Doctor of the Year Award
This award is presented to a Kansas Doctor of Chiropractic who has made outstanding contributions to the field of Chiropractic. Nominations are made by the KCA Board of Directors and Officers, KCA district officers, committee chairs, and chiropractic members of the Kansas Board of Healing Arts. KCA members select the recipient via ballot vote. The recipient is recognized at the KCA Fall Convention with an engraved plaque, and with a permanent plaque hung at the KCA Office in Topeka.
2026 KCA Doctor of the Year
Brad Pyle, Clay Center
Dr. Bradley Pyle practices in north central Kansas and is a 2010 graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic College. He has held nearly every leadership role KCA has to offer, from North Central District President to KCA President, along with chairing the Medicare Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. Today he serves on the KCA Executive Committee as Past President. In 2018, he received KCA’s Young Doctor of the Year award, and he has traveled to Topeka and Washington, D.C., many times to advocate for the profession. Brad and his wife, Jandee, have two children, Lairyn and Doak, and he loves spending time outdoors with his family.

Dr. Darrell Fore Young Doctor of the Year Award
This award is presented to a Kansas Doctor of Chiropractic who has made outstanding contributions to the field of Chiropractic within the first few years of practice. Nominations are gathered by the KCA President from the KCA Board of Directors and Officers, and any other KCA members as needed. The President considers all nominations, then selects a recipient for approval by the board of directors. The recipient is recognized at the KCA Fall Convention with an engraved plaque, and with a permanent plaque hung at the KCA Office in Topeka.
2026 Young Doctor of the Year
Kayla Riggs, Pittsburg
Originally from Wall Lake, Iowa, she earned her Bachelor of Science from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, before continuing her education at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas. It was there that she met her husband, also a chiropractor.
In practice, she specializes in diversified technique, the Webster technique for expecting mothers, instrument-assisted adjusting, FAKTR, RockTape, and soft tissue work. She is passionate about treating patients of all ages and has extensive experience with children and expectant mothers.
She has been an active leader within KCA, having served as Vice President of the Southeast District and on the KCA Strategic Planning Committee. She currently serves as Alternate Director of the Southeast District.
Outside the office, she and her husband are kept busy by their three children. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and getting outdoors with her family.
