UnitedHealthcare Removes Prior Authorization for Certain Medicare Chiropractic Services
Effective October 1, 2026 UnitedHealthcare will remove the prior authorization requirement for chiropractic manipulative treatment codes 98940, 98941, and 98942 for its Medicare Advantage and Medicare Dual Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs), effective October 1, 2026.
