Kansas Chiropractors Have a Duty to Report Infectious Diseases

Did you know Kansas chiropractors are required by law to report certain infectious diseases, including some cases that are only suspected? A recent member question involving a patient who tested positive for Campylobacter highlighted a reporting responsibility that many chiropractors may not be familiar with.

Our latest member article explains when you are required to report, which diseases require reporting within four or 24 hours, who to contact, and how to submit a report. We also address the special urgency of suspected measles cases and the legal protections available to chiropractors who report in good faith.
