2025 Update from KCA Executive Director, Dr. Travis Oller
Happy New Year, everyone. I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2025. At the KCA office, we are working on a number of exciting things for 2025, and I wanted to give you a quick update.
Email Communications
I have heard your concerns about the volume of emails from KCA, which are hard to keep up with and frequently get lost in the mix with everything else you must deal with in your practice and life. We are working to simplify our communication strategy for 2025 and will hopefully send you less frequent emails by bundling topics such as this email today. Each weekly email update will be archived at www.kansaschiro.com under the “Latest News” box on the home page.
Online Webinars
The On-Demand version of the webinar “Axial Spondylarthritis – Presentation and Diagnosis” is now available here: Axial Spondyloarthritis
Member-Led Webinars
At its December Board Meeting, the KCA Board of Directors approved a webinar revenue-sharing proposal for KCA Members. This program aims to incentivize member participation in online webinars by offering a revenue-sharing opportunity.
By sharing a portion of the revenue generated from recorded webinars, KCA aims to encourage members to share their knowledge and expertise while providing a tangible benefit to their membership. KCA members who are interested in participating can contact me at travis@kansaschiro.com for the full program details.
2025 Legislative Update
The 2025 Kansas Legislative Session started today. The KCA is committed to working on legislative issues affecting your practice and patient access to safe, affordable chiropractic care.

KCA Medicare Committee Update
UHC Medicare Advantage Prior Authorization rules have been updated as of January 13, 2025. An analysis of this update has been posted on the Medicare page at Kansaschiro.com. (KCA Member benefit – Must be logged in to view.)
Kansas Sales Tax Update
Legislation passed during the 2022 Kansas Legislative Session created a gradual decrease in the state sales tax on food and certain food items. This change may effect the correct sales tax for you to collect in your office on some items you sale.
KCA has reviewed the relevant statutes as well as guides published by the Kansas Department of Revenue and has published an update on the issue on the Federal and State Regulations page at Kansaschiro.com. (KCA Member Benefit – Must be logged in to view.)
