Introducing Chiropractic Roots

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Chiropractic Roots – a brand-new podcast celebrating the rich stories, insights, and legacies of seasoned chiropractors within our Kansas Chiropractic Association community.

Our first episode features Dr. Glen Heese, who shares his personal journey, lessons from decades in practice, and reflections on how chiropractic has evolved is now availalbe on all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and more.

Episodes will be released twice a month, on the second and fourth Mondays, giving you a regular dose of inspiration and wisdom from long-standing KCA members. Coming up next: Dr. Mark Balderston, whose episode airs on June 23, 2025.

BlueKC 98941 Denials

The KCA is aware of a significant increase in denials of CPT code 98941 by BlueKC, effective May 1, 2025. We have been in contact with the Provider Relations department of BlueKC and are working with them to determine the cause and the best way to correct the issue.

At this time, it appears that an edit was applied incorrectly in their system. We will keep KCA members updated on this issue as we receive more information.

KCA Board Approves Strategic Planning Committee to Define the Future of Chiropractic in Kansas

The Kansas Chiropractic Association (KCA) is excited to announce that on Thursday, May 22, 2025, the KCA Board of Directors officially approved the formation of the Strategic Planning Committee. This important step initiates the process of shaping a clear, forward-thinking vision for the future of chiropractic care in Kansas.

What Is the Strategic Planning Committee?
The Strategic Planning Committee has been established to identify key issues impacting the profession, evaluate emerging opportunities and threats, and develop a long-term strategy to ensure the continued growth and effectiveness of the KCA. The committee’s work will result in a comprehensive Strategic Plan that includes a revised mission, vision, and core values, as well as specific goals and measurable strategies for implementation.
