KCA Responds to Coverage in the Manhattan Mercury
The Kansas Chiropractic Association has submitted a letter to the editor of the Manhattan Mercury following recent coverage of a former chiropractor in Manhattan, KS.
In our letter, we made it clear that this person’s actions were a serious breach of professional responsibility and in no way represent the chiropractic profession as a whole. We condemned his actions in the strongest terms and extended our thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.
At the same time, we corrected misinformation presented in the coverage about chiropractic. Chiropractors are licensed under the Kansas Healing Arts Act, held to the same legal and ethical standards as MDs and DOs, and serve patients with professionalism and integrity every day. Patients, not “clients,” seek chiropractic care, and Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) rightfully hold the title of “Doctor,” as do dentists and optometrists.
Our priority remains protecting the integrity of the chiropractic profession in Kansas while supporting accurate and fair reporting for the public.

KCA at Cleveland University–Kansas City Career Fair
Last week, the Kansas Chiropractic Association was proud to participate in the Career Fair at Cleveland University–Kansas City. This event brought together students, recent graduates, and practicing doctors of chiropractic to connect and share opportunities within the profession.
During the fair, I had the privilege of speaking with several students and doctors about the role of the Kansas Chiropractic Association. Many were eager to learn how KCA supports chiropractors at every stage of their career—from student membership to established practice ownership.
I emphasized our mission to promote, protect, and preserve chiropractic in Kansas. This includes advocating for our profession at the state level, providing continuing education and compliance resources, and building a strong professional community where chiropractors can learn from and support one another.
It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm of students preparing to enter practice and to hear their vision for the future of chiropractic in Kansas. We look forward to welcoming these future doctors into our association and helping them thrive in their professional journeys.
